FungiScope® Aspergillus

In the global FungiScope® registry also invasive aspergillosis (IA) cases are included. We aim to analyze the course of certain subgroups.

Currently, there are two ongoing campaigns:

    1. Aspergillosis Galactomannan Campaign: Course of galactomannan index levels during treatment of GM positive IA

      Inclusion criteria:
      • Probable or proven invasive infection with Aspergillus spp. (according to EORTC/MSG criteria) including radiological and/or mycological evidence
      • Sequential testing of Aspergillus antigen (galactomannan) in serum or BAL fluid (ODI ≥0.5) for diagnosis and during treatment
      • Aspergillosis with at least 3 galactomannan results from day of diagnosis throughout therapy
      Exclusion criteria:
      • Colonization only or other non-invasive infection
      • Invasive infections due to fungal pathogens other than Aspergillus spp.

    2. Non-fumigatus Aspergillosis Campaign: Clinical course of non-fumigatus aspergillosis

      Inclusion criteria:
      • Culture, histopathological or DNA evidence of invasive infection with non-fumigatus Aspergillus spp., e.g. A. flavus, A. terreus, A. niger, A. nidulans, A. ustus etc.
      Exclusion criteria:
      • Colonization only or other non-invasive infection
      • Invasive infections due to fungal pathogens other than Aspergillus spp.
