FungiScope® Aspergillus

FungiScope® Aspergillus is a new partner project, started in 2019. The aim of this registry is to analyze retrospectively the course of certain subgroups of aspergillosis.

Currently, there are two open campaigns:
      1. Course of galactomannan index levels during treatment of GM positive IA
      2. Course of non-fumigatus aspergillosis.

You are cordially invited to contribute cases of invasive infections caused by Aspergillus spp. The following criteria need to be met for inclusion of a case.

      1. Aspergillosis Galactomannan Campaign

      Inclusion criteria:
      • Probable or proven invasive infection with Aspergillus spp. (according to EORTC/MSG criteria) including radiological and/or mycological evidence
      • Sequential testing of Aspergillus antigen (galactomannan) in serum or BAL fluid (ODI ≥0.5)
      Exclusion criteria:
      • Colonization or other non-invasive infection
      • Invasive infections due to fungal pathogens other than Aspergillus spp.

      2. Non-fumigatus Aspergillosis Campaign

      Inclusion criteria:
      • oCulture, histopathological or DNA evidence of invasive infection with non-fumigatus Aspergillus spp., e.g. A. flavus, A. terreus, A. niger, A. nidulans, A. ustus etc.
      Exclusion criteria:
      • Colonization or other non-invasive infection
      • Invasive infections due to fungal pathogens other than Aspergillus spp.

If you would like to enter a case, please register for our clinicalsurveys database. To register, simply write an e-mail with your name and the full address of your institution here. Thank you.
